COMING OUT OF THE FOG
There are times that I sit and ponder over the life that we have today. The instant moments of sunshine on our faces in the morning. The smell of fresh baby breath asking for more milk. (My baby call’s it Nean). This post drives my passion in several ways and one is for my “Tree-Hugger” husband and his infinite love for creation and his seed. The other is our intuitive, eclectic, concept of empowerment childbirth education. Yet sometimes there is this bit of fog that likes to hover around our work. I am learning to chart when these times happen and I call it… “seed time.” Taking note on the things that manifest as I am progressing forward. I often have to stop and it comes to me. I’m a carrier. I am deep rich soil. I am always with child. I am a conceiver. I am always PREGNANT! I am always with seed. Not in the literal sense, but in the spiritual. Because I am NOT a person who prescribes to Western methods of birth control, I refuse to become like the “Little Old Woman Who Lived In a Shoe.” The children are always around my door, yelling and playing, fussing and making up childish games. Asking for water and nutritious snacks. Then I stop to think of what happens when we become exposed to the reality of being “Grown Ups.” This is a technique all in and of itself. This is what I call coming out of the fog.
The Universal Infinite Time
The fog… When we become adults… Most of us assume that when things get weird and clarity seems far away… We are in the center of a storm. The wind and turbulence has taken over and peacetime has a long road ahead. Since there is really no such thing as time, we have to acknowledge the matter of probability and stop waging war on the resistance. Knowing how to bend with the elements is how we determine our innate flexibility. Your power is in the elements of the universe. This is the most creative point of reference anyone can receive when feeling out of time. Balancing the waters of emotion is first and foremost. Remembering to breathe is being at one with the water. Kindling the flames of desire is how we burn those hard rocky clumps into precious gems. This is the basics of grounding your energy in the soil of this Earth in which you plant your visions and dreams. We are not just talking about manifesting money, houses, and cars here. We are talking about manifesting life itself in ALL it’s vastness and abundance. And the most abundant resource is human currency.
And Men All Looked Like Trees…
Understanding the fundamental principles of creation.
A wise man once told me that even a tree goes through adversity when it’s taking root from that tiny seed.
As we walk through the forest and view the trees, we remember they were once tiny seeds. This is just the same as you and I. The same as an idea or a thought. Trees have an outer cover for protection, food and water inside to use for the first surge into growth, a part that has an affinity for water that will seek out the soil and become roots and a part with an affinity for light that will seek the sun and become leaves and branches. Nature gives all seeds another characteristic. See any similarities in the human structure of childbirth?
While nature provides a seed all it needs to survive, she provides great opposition to survival. From the beginning, each seed must compete with its neighbor for water, food, sunlight and space in which to grow. Sound like any neighborhood you know? Trees produce thousands of seeds. Very few grow to maturity. In fact, from a start of 10,000 seedlings per acre at age one year, the final stand of mature trees may number less than 50. The Universe has an enlightening way of balancing the mortality of it’s creation so we must always give thanks.
Centering Thought
In order for ANY seed (a human, a tree, a thought) to sprout, develop, and manifest it must have food, water, sunlight and warmth (the elements). Until it gets rooted, in the soil it can not come above ground… It can not be born. As roots go deeper into the soil they absorb water and minerals from the soil and send these up into the stem. Wonder why “stem cells” are such an important commodity?
These act as a chemical laboratory. In a process called photosynthesis, which takes place in the green leaves of a tree in the presence of chlorophyll and sunlight, the tree takes carbon dioxide from the air and manufactures starches and sugars and gives off oxygen as a waste product. The formula is simple but the process has never been artificially duplicated. Too bad humans have this limitation. But do we? If all living things were able to photosynthesize like plant life, nothing would ever have to eat to survive… every living thing could manufacture its own food within its own body. There would be no need for teeth, no need for stomachs. But thankfully we are both duly unique and our processes keep us divinely connected to the fundamental principles of the Universe, thus women have the ability to produce milk from our own bodies, to feed our toothless babies, from the starchy, sugary, nutrient rich sap of our beautiful breasts.
